Cardiff pub reopens following 6-figure refurbishment

Whitchurch favourite, The Royal Oak, is back in business with a stunning new look, just in time for the festive season. The local favourite re-opened its doors last month, after a 6-figure investment from the award-winning Craft Union Pub Company.

The high-street community hub, in the very centre of Whitchurch, has had transformative renovations throughout, and now boasts a warming, cosy atmosphere after extensive works took place on the venue throughout October. The décor throughout the pub has been completely re-vamped, including new lighting, and a more open space created inside, including a brand-new colour scheme, to give a cleaner and more welcoming feel.

As well as this, for any guests who fancy some light competition, a brand-new darts board has been installed, with wooden surround, creating a real focal point in the new-look space.

The pub has also had extensive fixed seating fitted outside the venue, creating more space for guests to enjoy their fabulous range of beers, spirits and wines.

Lisa Fletcher, new Operator at The Royal Oak, said “I’m so happy with the new look of the Royal Oak and I’m proud to be here at the start of what we hope to be a hugely rewarding journey. The pub feels so cosy and homely now, it really does feel like a home from home. I was blown away by the renovations, and I’m so excited we can now welcome the local community to such a fantastic space.”

As well as the major refurbishments, The Royal Oak will also be supporting charity this festive season, with one of their team taking part in the towns annual ‘Reindeer Run’, with her two children. The charity run will take place on 2nd December, and sees the town of Whitchurch shut down the high-street for local people to take part in the event, which raises money for ‘Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital’.

The pub also has a new entertainment schedule, with bingo, and quizzes throughout the week, and notably their Friday night Karaoke night, starting from 9pm. Locals can also enjoy live music nights every Saturday from 9pm, which showcases a range of musicians, which guests can enjoy with friends and family with refreshing drink in hand.
