The Claude pub, in Cardiff, is set to host a special quiz event on Monday 10 October, with popular television presenter Jeff Stelling as the quizmaster.

The evening will begin at 7pm, with the quintessential sports quiz starting at half past seven. Jeff will also be holding a question-and-answer session during the break, with the floor open to guests to submit their burning questions.

Jeff Stelling has been teaming up with Greene King Abbot Ale to help the nation slow down and enjoy the best and most simple things in life, such as a quiz at the local pub. Samples of the traditional rich and malty ale will be available for guests to try throughout the evening.

Ticket prices for the event are £5 per team with up to six people per team maximum, and all proceeds will be going to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Tony Kightley, General Manager for the Claude said: “Myself and the team are thrilled to be welcoming Jeff to host our sports quiz night on Monday 10 October, and what is more relaxing than a good quiz to get the brain going and a pint of Abbot Ale?

“Abbot Ale is a popular choice for those that visit the Claude and with Jeff’s help, our guests will be able to enjoy this fantastic beer in the best possible way. With a great host, great beer and also great food available, it’s going to be a fun night.”
