The event, which starts at 10am on Saturday 21st May, will feature a horse-jumping display and a musical drill ride by the staff, and marks the opening of a brand-new Outdoor School made possible with support from the Friends of Cardiff Riding School.

Cardiff Riding School Manager, Gloria Garrington, said: “We’re really looking forward to welcoming faces to what we hope will be a really fun day.

“We’re thrilled with the new Outdoor School and really grateful to the Council and the Friends of Cardiff Riding School for making it possible.

“It’s going to make so much difference – it gives us a great area we can use all year round for lessons, it means we can run competitions alongside our normal lessons, it will help improve the welfare of the horses, we can offer a better livery package for people with their own horses. We can’t wait for people to see it.”

    Full event timetable:

    • 10am- Gates open
    • 10:30- Opening ceremony
    • 10:45- Staff musical drill ride
    • 11:15- Horse jumping display
    • 11:30- Dog agility
    • 12:30- Fun dog show

The dog agility and fun dog show can be entered via the Cardiff Riding School Facebook page or on the day with a small cash donation to the Friends of Cardiff Riding School. The dog show is open to anyone of any age with well-behaved dogs on a lead.

Food and refreshments will be available. Cash required.
