Christmas magic promised at Broneirion’s Winter Wonderland

People who enjoy the magic of the festive season are being advised to make a note in their diary for November 30 when Broneirion in Llandinam, headquarters of Girlguiding Cymru, will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland.

[aoa id=”1″]Broneirion’s biggest fundraising event of the year is free to enter and runs from 4.30pm to 9pm, with buses provided to transport passengers to the Grade II listed Edwardian house from Newtown for £1 per person each way.[/aoa]

Attractions include Santa’s grotto, a market with more than 30 stalls manned by local companies selling food and gifts, face painting, an inflatable snowboard simulator, a disco dome, donkey rides and traditional fairground games.

Mother Claus will be telling stories to keep the younger visitors entertained in Broneirion’s library and there will be entertainment from local school choirs and the Tenovus Choir.

All the festive entertainment will be in the glow of Wales’ tallest living decorated Christmas tree, which stands at more than 149 feet.

Broneirion is now also taking bookings for Christmas dinners, which will be available throughout December and January. Two courses cost £19.95 or three courses £24.95.

Freshly prepared by a team of chefs, the Yuletide menu has something for everyone. Broneirion’s versatile rooms cater for events, ranging from intimate gatherings to large Christmas parties.

The ever-popular Mother Claus carvery lunch returns on Sundays, December 9 and 16 at noon for £15 per person. Storytime with Mother Claus, a gift and a two-course lunch are offered. As places are limited, booking is essential.

New this year are brunch and lunches with Santa. The visit to Broneirion includes a story, craft and breakfast, brunch or lunch with Mother Claus followed by a visit to Santa in his grotto. Prices are £12 per child with a discount available for groups or more than 10. Dates available to book are December 3, 4 or 6.
