As the National Health Emergency caused by the coronavirus continues to develop across the UK and in Wales, Rhondda Cynon Taf Council are making an appeal to all former social care workers to consider coming back to work and to get in touch with the Council.

Leader of the Council, County Borough Councillor Andrew Morgan, said: “The coronavirus is a National Health Emergency not seen in this country for a lifetime and represents a significant risk to residents across the County Borough – particularly those aged over 70, with underlying health conditions and pregnant women.

“We are acutely aware that the scale of the number of cases will further intensify over the coming weeks as hundreds or even thousands more become infected.  In preparation for this, Councils across Wales are appealing for former social care workers to consider coming back to work and to get in touch with us to help provide social care support to the NHS at what is likely to be a time of unprecedented demand.”

If you are a former social care worker and would like to offer your services to RCT Council, please contact: 01443 424140
