It’s set to be a cracking Easter weekend for Cardiff homebuyers as the first apartments are released at showpiece city homes development, The Mill.

With the development’s eagerly-anticipated Hawthorn House one- and two-bedroom apartments about to go on sale, the advice is to move quickly to secure one of these highly desirable, contemporary homes situated only two miles from central Cardiff.

“We’ll be releasing 28 new apartments but with Early Bird reservations already in place on eleven of these, we’d strongly urge potential homebuyers to act swiftly so as not to miss out,” recommends Lovell regional sales director Julie Bowen.

“We continue to experience extremely strong demand for homes at The Mill and are seeing high levels of interest during the run-up to the launch of our new apartments.”

The launch event takes place at the marketing suite at The Mill over the Easter weekend from Friday, 30 March until Monday, 2 April.

An independent financial advisor will be on hand from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, 31 March and Monday, 2 April only, to offer free professional guidance on mortgages and ways of making your home move more affordable, including the Help to Buy – Wales* scheme which enables purchasers to secure a home with a deposit of just five per cent.

Visiting the development’s stylish two-bedroom show apartment will give prospective purchasers an instant appreciation of the advantages offered by contemporary apartment living at The Mill.

Designed with the focus firmly on ‘urban chic’, the show property’s spacious interiors are bound to appeal to a range of purchasers, including both first-time buyers and downsizers with accommodation which will work equally well for single people, couples and young families. Its open-plan living / dining / kitchen area – lit by a dazzling multi-light pendant – provides an amazing space for socialising, entertaining and relaxing and has views over the development’s tree-lined river walk and beyond. The apartment also features two good-sized double bedrooms, including the master bedroom with en-suite, and the family bathroom.

All apartments at Hawthorn House benefit from super-stylish fitted kitchens including integrated fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washer-dryer as well as a Bosch brushed steel oven and gas hob. Among the many other advantages are a ten-year NHBC Warranty; two-year emergency cover and Ideal boiler central heating.

You can find out more by attending the Easter weekend launch; contacting the Lovell sales team on 02920 606 766 or going to www.themill-canton.co.uk

The Mill, Canton, is bringing a new urban village to Cardiff, creating 800 contemporary homes at the former Arjo Wiggins paper mill site. They include 358 homes for open market sale by Lovell and 442 homes for rent – which will be managed by Cadwyn Housing Association – for the Tirion Group. The scheme is going ahead with the support of the Welsh Government and financial backing from the Principality Building Society, and is being developed by the Tirion Group in partnership with Lovell.
