St David’s Dewi Sant Cardiff will be hosting the Curated Makers market, a pop-up event championing small businesses, this weekend.

Curated Makers is a collaborative retailer that runs pop-ups across the UK, stocking and supporting local makers. The St David’s event will bring together a curation of local creators and artists, giving them the opportunity to trade in a prime retail location within the heart of Cardiff – reaching new customers as well as providing an introduction to high street trading. The Curated Makers market will be located near H Samuel and Boots on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th September.

Shoppers are invited to discover a range of handcrafted products such as dried flower diffusers from Bloomfull, illustrated Cardiff maps designed by Rachel Snelling, the perfect cupcake from Let Them See Cake, or local spirits from Barry Island Gin.

Helen Morgan, Centre Director at St David’s, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Curated Makers to St David’s this weekend. The market will showcase a gorgeous selection of products from local creators for guests to pick up a gift or treat themselves. We’re passionate about supporting independents here at the centre to help nurture home-grown businesses as well as creating a unique shopping experience for guests that can only be found here in Wales.”

Megan Jones, CEO and Founder of Curated Makers, added: “We are so incredibly excited to be bringing Curated Makers to the city of Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for us to explore and meet brand new makers in a brand new city. The 3rd and 4th of September are set to be a very busy weekend in Cardiff, with multiple events happening across the town, most notably the return of WWE. With the market being set in the heart of it all within St David’s, the weekend will give 15 amazing small businesses the chance to really showcase themselves to shoppers and visitors to the centre. This really is a fantastic opportunity to discover and show support for local small businesses.”
