Light, Ladd & Emberton are offering people the opportunity to give the gift of a live dance performance to colleagues, friends and family this Christmas  – both delivered direct to their doorstep, and as part of an online party on Saturday 19 December.

Wales-based dance company Light, Ladd & Emberton – who have previously created immersive shows like CAITLIN and Owain Glyndŵr Silent Disco in spaces such castles, village halls, theatre and beaches – have created a new project this December with freelance artists from across Wales to give free extraordinary experiences to people and communities after a challenging year.

Deliver a Dance will bring unique and heart-warming performances to people across Wales for Christmas from 10-24 December.

Deliver a Dance is a free performance delivery service – short, live dances by local performers, delivered directly to doorsteps or to communities to bring joyful experiences in socially distanced times.

Deborah Light from Light, Ladd & Emberton said, “This Christmas we want to bring memorable gift experiences to people across Wales. With things being what they are, people may not be able to be with their loved ones this Christmas, and in Wales as we are still unable to go to live events or performances as normal, we will be giving unique mini performances to local communities and doorsteps this December.”

Deliver a Dance will be available to certain communities across Wales from 10 – 24 December with eight dance artists, Tim Bromage (Cardiff), Rosalind Haf Brooks (Colwyn Bay and Cardiff), Angharad Harrop (Old Colwyn), Eddie Ladd (Ceredigion), Jake Nwogu (Rhayader & Llandrindod Wells), Deborah Light (Cardiff) and Lara Ward (Barry and Cardiff). They will be joined by other artists alongside them including writer actor Connor Allen, performer Roger Owen, harpist Helen Wyn Pari, dancer Stan Blake and saxophonist Paul West.

As well as local dance deliveries across Wales, Light, Ladd & Emberton are also hosting Deliver a Dance – The Christmas Party online on Saturday 19 December 3pm & 7pm with presenters Eddie Ladd and Gwyn Emberton, supported by Deborah Light as the Polar Bear.

Deliver a Dance – The Christmas Party will be for anyone to come along to, sharing some of the Deliver a Dance performances from across Wales, plus a chance to play some hilarious bespoke Christmas party games, dance to beloved Welsh and English Christmas songs, and enjoy a virtual mince pie and glass of mulled wine or juice together…

The hour interactive online event is an opportunity for the recipients, their families and friends to watch some of the videos online, as well enjoy other short dance performances and games.

Deliver a Dance – The Christmas Party will have live BSL interpretation, and be audio described by our partners Taking Flight.

Tickets are free to the event on Saturday 19 December at 3pm & 7pm. For further information please visit www.lightladdemberton.com

Light, Ladd & Emberton’s Deliver a Dance is supported by Arts Council of Wales, Impelo, Chapter Arts Centre and Barry Memo.
