The Welsh Rugby Union has confirmed the dates for Wales Men’s three home fixtures in the inaugural Nations Championship, with a series of high-profile clashes set for Principality Stadium this November.
Wales will play three consecutive Saturday matches in Cardiff as part of rounds four to six of the new international competition.
The campaign at Principality Stadium will begin on November 7, when Wales host Japan. It will be the fourth meeting between the two sides in the last 18 months, with Wales winning two of the previous three encounters, including their most recent clash in Cardiff. That match also marked Steve Tandy’s first victory as Wales head coach.
A week later, on November 14, Wales face New Zealand. In their last meeting, wing Tom Rogers made history by scoring a hat-trick against the All Blacks, becoming the first Welshman and only the fourth male player ever to achieve the feat.
Wales will then conclude their group fixtures on November 21 with a home tie against Australia, who return to Principality Stadium for the first time in two years.
All three matches will be played at Principality Stadium and broadcast live on ITV, with kick-off times to be confirmed. Tickets will go on general sale soon, with fans encouraged to register their interest to receive updates.
The November fixtures form the second phase of the Nations Championship, following an initial round of matches in July. During the summer window, Wales will face Fiji, Argentina and South Africa on consecutive weekends away from home.
The competition will conclude with a Finals Weekend at Allianz Stadium in Twickenham, where all 12 teams will compete across three days to determine final standings and whether the northern or southern hemisphere comes out on top.
