    Public relations agency Effective Communication has launched an Academy to provide training services in communications and marketing.

    Designed to help organisations and individuals position, promote and protect themselves, the Effective Academy offers a range of training programmes to develop the skills of in-house marketing and communications professionals.

    In line with Effective’s wider marketing strategy, the planning for the Academy has taken several months, and the courses have been developed after several trial projects with Effective clients.

    Delivered by Effective’s experienced senior team, the Academy programmes launch next week by webinar, however, future programmes will be designed to be delivered in both virtual and physical formats, such as interactive workshops and dedicated one-to-one training.

    Courses include:

    • Crisis communications – mitigation and planning
    • Media interview training
    • Social media networking and profile building
    • Instagram for business, and;
    • Marketing for business

    Effective founder and managing director Alastair Milburn said: “Effective is a well established and respected agency with a team of very experienced and knowledgeable professionals.

    “There has been an increasing demand for our training services from our existing clients, and we have been planning how we can deliver a range of subjects and courses under the ‘Academy’ umbrella to a much wider audience.

    “While we are going to provide a choice of face-to-face and online training, the changes brought about by remote working during the Covid-19 pandemic has given businesses confidence to do far more online.

    “Online training, in particular, enables far more people to be trained effectively and with minimum disruption to their organisations.”

    Founded in 2005, Cardiff-based Effective Communication is a fully integrated communications agency, helping a number of Wales’ leading organisations to position, promote and protect their brands.

    Effective has won a large number of awards for its work and has twice been named the best PR agency in Wales by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
