An ex-husband and wife who oversaw a drugs operation supplying large quantities of cocaine to dealers in Swansea and Ammanford have both been sent to prison.

44-year-old Phillip Jones, from Brynhyfryd, Swansea, and 53-year-old Lisa Regan, from Portmead, Swansea, laundered their illegally gotten cash through a café in Blaenymaes.

Images obtained from mobile phones owned by the pair showed Phillip Jones cutting up one kilo of cocaine.

Regan was arrested after officers conveyed her off a plane post-flight.

Jones pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine, two counts of possession with intent to supply cocaine, concealing criminal property and driving whilst disqualified at Swansea Magistrates Court in October.

Regan also pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine, possession with intent to supply cocaine and concealing criminal property.

Lisa Regan has been sentenced to seven years and four months in prison.

Phillip Jones has been sentenced to six years and eight months in prison.

    Tracy Lewis

Meanwhile, 54-year-old Tracy Lewis, from Llandybie, Carmarthenshire, who was purchasing large amounts of drugs from Regan and running his own operation in the Ammanford area, has also been jailed after pleading guilty to multiple drugs offences.

Lewis pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine, crack cocaine and cannabis, possession with intent to supply cocaine, possession of cocaine and possession of criminal property (£1,937 in cash).

He has been sentenced to six years in prison.

    Sergeant Luke Tucker said:

“Between them, Lisa Regan, Phillip Jones and Tracy Lewis were responsible for flooding our local communities with significant quantities of Class A and B drugs.

“They thought that they were above the law – but they will have been devastated to discover that their operations weren’t as impenetrable as they thought. They will now get the chance to reflect on that over their long prison spells.

“Their removal from society has made our streets far safer and better off.”
