The Awards are held every 2 to 3 years by the Ceredigion Association of Voluntary Organisations (CAVO) to celebrate the hard-working volunteers across Ceredigion. The closing date for entry of nominations is the 16th August 2021.

There are five award categories which recognise individual, group and young volunteers. The categories are Tried Something New Award, Young Shining Star, Kind Beyond Words, Working together and Volunteer Coordinator of the Year.

To nominate somebody for an award visit cavo.org.uk/volunteering or contact CAVO at [email protected] or call 01570 423 232. Winners will be announced on the 5th October 2021.

As the County Voluntary Council for Ceredigion, CAVO supports community and voluntary action across the County so promoting volunteering and supporting volunteers is a key pillar of their work. The Awards are held to recognise the support volunteers provide and appreciate the value that volunteering offers to individuals and communities after an “exceptionally difficult year”.

Chief Executive of CAVO, Hazel Lloyd Lubran said, “Volunteers make such a vital difference to the lives of individuals and the vibrancy of our communities across Ceredigion and the importance of people giving their time for the benefit of others has never been more prominent.”

“It’s a privilege for the CAVO Team to work with volunteers every day, and the Volunteer Awards gives us the chance to say DIOLCH to volunteers that give their time to support others and make such a vital difference in our communities.”

“We encourage anyone who knows a volunteer who has carried out exceptional work in their community to nominate them for these prestigious awards.”

To nominate a volunteer or group for the Ceredigion Volunteer Awards visit cavo.org.uk/volunteering and fill out the short nomination form. For more information about the awards contact CAVO at [email protected] or call 01570 423 232.
