Finalists for CIPD Wales Awards 2021 revealed

Businesses and organisations from across Wales have been recognised for their excellent standards of HR and people development practices with the announcement of the shortlist for the CIPD Wales Awards 2021.

The CIPD, the professional body for HR and the people development, will celebrate the cream of the crop of the thousands of individuals in HR and the people profession across Wales at its annual awards ceremony. This year’s awards will take place virtually on Thursday 25th November.

Returning for the fourth time after an absence last year because of the pandemic, 36 companies, teams and individuals have been shortlisted across nine categories representing a range of organisations, large and small, across many sectors. Finalists include: ITV Wales, Audit Wales, Heddlu Dyfed-Powys Police and Cardiff Met.

The awards will be judged by recognised industry professionals including Peter Kennedy, Director of HR and Corporate Services at Welsh Government and Nicola Montgomery, UK HR Director for Airbus Operations Ltd, who will be looking for outstanding individuals and teams in Wales across HR, learning and people development.

Commenting on this year’s awards, head of CIPD Wales, Lesley Richards, said: “We’re delighted to be hosting the Awards again after an immensely challenging 18 months for everybody. The quality and detail of the nominations we’ve received is incredible and the competition gets stiffer each year.

gloomy times to ensure we come back better connected and stronger. With our 2020 Awards being cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, we were determined not to miss another year, and to create a different type of celebration. The pandemic shone the spotlight on HR and people professionals across the country.
