More than 50 young people have enjoyed the opportunity to try out new sports thanks to a Sport Pembrokeshire Community Clubs event.

The event at Fishguard Leisure Centre for Ysgol Bro Gwaun and feeder schools was sponsored by Valero and held on December 1st.

Local clubs and providers offered taster sessions of cricket, self-defence, rowing, dance, hockey, tennis, table tennis, rugby & basketball. Water was kindly provided for the event by Princes Gate.

Young Ambassadors from Ysgol Bro Gwaun helped the event run smoothly.

Dan Bellis of Sport Pembrokeshire, said: “It was a fantastic evening and it was brilliant that so many children and coaches were in attendance.

“There was a wide range of activities to enjoy and a great time was had by all.

“It is hoped that the young people involved will have picked up a love of a new sport or activity and link in again with the clubs and providers involved.”
