Eastside Insurance have ‘signed up’ ex Swansea captain and Welsh rugby international Stuart Davies as a Business Development consultant.

The agreement sees one of Swansea’s most well established and respected insurance brokers joining forces with one of the city’s great sporting sons.

Managing Partner Anthony Fox said: “This is an important appointment for us and we view Stuart’s credibility and standing as a person, a professional and a sportsman as being perfect for assisting us with existing client relationships and helping to grow our business.

“Stuart has worked at a very senior level in a number of sectors and disciplines, and is a great fit for a company such as ours that delivers comprehensive commercial as well as personal cover.”

Davies, who will fulfil this role on a consultancy basis, added, “I first worked with Eastside during my time with Swansea Council, and I’ve watched them go from strength to strength. Insurance is very much a people and relationship business, and I know Eastside are held in high regard by their customers. I am looking forward very much to being part of the team.”

Anthony added, “Our reputation is founded on good, honest, professional advice, competitive cover and quality service. Aside from Stuart’s client facing role, we look forward to his input across many aspects of our business.”
