Franco Manca, the Neapolitan pizza pioneer, is today launching its annual Sourdough September competition in collaboration with Uber Eats, giving you the opportunity to create your own dream pizza.

The restaurant brand, that operates 70 sites across the UK, is calling on all fabulous foodies, budding bakers and promising pizzaioli to submit their sourdough pizza recipes to be in with the chance of getting their creation featured on Franco Manca’s specials board across the UK, and winning a state-of-the-art Gozney pizza oven.

All entrants need to do is fill out this form, listing which ingredients will be on their pizza and the story behind the recipe. Creativity and innovation are key, as the brand is looking for exciting new concepts! Entries are open from today (Tuesday 29th August) until Tuesday 12th September – so time is of the essence.

After a rigorous judging process, a line-up of six finalists, along with their friends and family, will be invited to attend the Grand Final at Franco Manca’s Baker Street restaurant in London on Tuesday 3rd October. They will cook their masterpiece from scratch for a panel of judges, who will then crown the overall winner.

Last year’s Sourdough September winning entry was a Middle Eastern inspired chicken shawarma pizza, which featured on the specials board nationwide for two weeks in March.

If you fancy getting involved in this incredible, money-can’t-buy opportunity, it’s time to get creative! Entries close on Tuesday 12thSeptember 2023 at 11.59pm.
