A PopUp Business School comes to Newport Market from 4 to 15 June and will be open to anyone who dreams of starting their own business.

Run in partnership with Newport City Council, the two-week training course will give participants the support, tools and confidence they need to make that important first step.

People can attend for the full two weeks or drop in to the sessions which will include workshops on topics such as starting a business without investment, sales and marketing, building a free website and finding customers.

They are also open to people who have already started a business but would like some expert guidance.

Councillor Jane Mudd, the council’s cabinet member for regeneration and housing, said:

“We are pleased to be welcoming back the PopUp Business School to the city. Feedback from those who have taken part in previous events has been extremely positive.

“I would encourage all those who would like to start a business but need advice on how to go about it to take advantage of this excellent, free, opportunity.

“Newport Now, the business improvement district organisation, and Monmouthshire Housing Association, are helping with funding again and I would like to thank them as well as the PopUp Business School.”

Places are free but limited so booking is essential at www.popupbusinessschool.co.uk/events
