Newport EcoFest will return for a second year this autumn, offering residents and businesses practical advice on saving energy, cutting costs and helping the environment.
The free, family-friendly event will take place at Newport’s Riverfront Theatre on Saturday 17 October from 10am until 3pm.
Sponsored by Inspire Green, Newport EcoFest 2026 will feature tips and ideas designed to help people reduce their living costs while improving their health and wellbeing.
This year’s event will have a particular focus on food, including advice on reducing food waste and making better use of leftovers.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy live music from Newport singer Michael Simmonds-Dickens, who appeared in the first series of Y Llais, and Welsh folk band Paid Gofyn.
Tin Shed Theatre will deliver theatre performances during the day, while families will have an opportunity to make their own Newport Noodle Pot.
The programme will also include family activities, food stalls and information stands offering advice about saving energy and reducing household costs.
More details about the activities taking place will be announced through Newport Council’s website and social media channels ahead of the festival.
Entry to Newport EcoFest 2026 is free, although visitors are asked to book their tickets in advance through the Newport Live website.
