South Wales-based financial services business, Quantum Advisory, has raised £10,000 for Welsh children’s hospice, Tŷ Hafan, with a fundraising ball at The Celtic Manor.

The black-tie event saw around 180 colleagues, clients and friends of the Cardiff company come together, with Welsh Rugby Union legend Paul Thorburn hosting the evening. A sell-out balloon raffle and lively auction including exclusive items such as VIP Six Nation tickets and ‘wheelchair art’ by the children at Tŷ Hafan, helped reach the incredible total – every penny of which will go towards running the unique facilities at the hospice.

Quantum Advisory, which recently appointed its 100th employee, has been supporting Tŷ Hafan for over two years and raised £11,000 in 2017 as part of the charity’s ‘Pay for a Day’ initiative.

Stuart Price, Partner and Actuary at Quantum Advisory, said:

“Tŷ Hafan takes care of children expected to die in childhood and supports their family during their difficult journey. They ensure the children still enjoy life, and we are committed to raising as much money as we can to help enable this to happen.

“We were privileged to be joined by Tŷ Hafan’s Chief Executive, Rob Jones, who spoke during the evening about his involvement with the charity and how he and his family have experienced its support first-hand.
“We’d like to thank everyone who came along and gave so generously – especially those who had to make alternative plans at such short notice following the event’s date change due to the extreme snow in early March.

“Throughout the rest of the year we will be continuing our fundraising and hope to present Tŷ Hafan with an even bigger cheque at the end of it!”

Natalie Whyatt, Corporate Partnership Manager for Tŷ Hafan, added: “We are very grateful to Quantum Advisory for all their support and the event was such a fantastic evening.

“We depend on corporate support from successful Welsh companies like Quantum to ensure we can continue to run our amazing facilities, which include a multi-sensory room, music therapy, art sessions and hydrotherapy while our care team staff take over and allow parents to relax or to simply spend time together as a family.”For more information about Tŷ Hafan, please visit: http://www.tyhafan.org/.  For more information about Quantum Advisory, please visit: https://quantumadvisory.co.uk/about-us/
