A Rhyl childcare centre has been given a glowing report by inspectors.

Following a recent inspection by Care Inspectorate Wales, the Oak Tree Centre, run by Denbighshire County Council’s Leisure Service, was found to ensure children were happy and enthused by their learning at the centre.

The report also found children experience positive attachments with staff who are extremely enthusiastic and dedicated, that staff are knowledgeable, nurturing and consistent and parents are extremely happy with their children’s progress and the service provided.

Cllr Bobby Feeley, the Council’s lead member for Well-being and Independence, said:

“I’d like to congratulate the Oak Tree Centre and staff for this excellent report.

“It reflects the hard work of everyone associated with the centre and shows the Council’s commitment to ensure young people are being supported to achieve their potential.”

The Oak Tree Centre, based on Fforddlas, provides a full day care service for children up to the age of 12 and forms part of the integrated family support centre in Rhyl, managed by the Leisure Service.

The report went on to say that children thoroughly enjoy their play and learning, interact in a highly positive manner, that staff are well organised, competent and motivated and effective procedures are followed to ensure children are kept safe and resources are clean and of good quality.
