Traffic disruption continues on the westbound M4 this afternoon following earlier incidents across South Wales.

According to Traffic Wales, motorists travelling westbound between Junction 23A at Magor and Junction 26 at Malpas are being advised to allow extra time for their journeys due to ongoing congestion.

The warning comes after an earlier incident on the M4 westbound between Junction 42 at Earlswood and Junction 43 at Llandarcy.

Traffic Wales has confirmed that the incident has now cleared and both lanes have reopened. However, heavy congestion remains in the area, with delays stretching back as far as Junction 38 at Margam.

Drivers are being urged to plan ahead and expect longer journey times while traffic continues to ease.
