Talbot Green medical supply company Hospital Innovations is supporting South Wales Police with an ongoing deal to supply personal protective equipment (PPE).

Hospital Innovations specialises in delivering innovative, safe and effective solutions to hospitals and clinics around the globe. In response to the current COVID-19 outbreak, the medical supplier has made sourcing PPE a priority and has already supplied a high quantity of essential non-sterile, fluid repellent gowns to the force. With projections showing a steady monthly use at this level, the deal will continue to provide an established supply chain. As well as discussions with other police forces across the UK, Hospital Innovations has also recently supplied PPE masks to the Sony UK Technology Centre in Pencoed which employs more than 600 members of staff.

Phil Davies, Chairman at Hospital Innovations, said: “Hospital Innovations is very pleased to be associated with South Wales Police and to be able to help in some small way towards their aim of protecting both their staff and the general public during these challenging times.

“The demand for medical-grade PPE has reached unprecedented levels during the ongoing pandemic and Hospital Innovations has been quick in reacting. We have turned our attention to obtaining high quality, effective equipment from new and sustainable sources to ensure we have a plentiful supply to dispatch to the people of Wales and the rest of the United Kingdom.

“South Wales Police tested the gowns we supplied internally and deemed them to be superior, and easy for ‘donning and doffing’. They were also very pleased with the material grade, comfort and overall design.”

Founded in 2008, Hospital Innovations is a Human Tissue Authority (HTA) licensed supplier of specialist products used in orthopaedic and corrective surgeries and works in partnership with four of the world’s leading tissue banks. For more information, visit www.hospitalinnovations.com.
