South Wales Chamber of Commerce is encouraging South Wales businesses to sign-up to become part of the supply chain for the multi-billion pound Hinkley Point C (HPC) nuclear power station.
[aoa id=”1″]The South Wales Chamber of Commerce, which represents firms of all sizes and sectors across South, Mid and West Wales, is supporting the Hinkley Supply Chain Team to help South Wales businesses become part of the power station project.[/aoa]
The Hinkley Supply Chain portal, which is run by the Somerset Chamber of Commerce in partnership with EDF Energy, is a useful point of contact for regional suppliers looking for contract opportunities and for HPC main contractors seeking capable suppliers. All companies wanting to be considered for work on the project are encouraged to sign-up to the supply chain portal.
Heather Myers, CEO, South and Mid Wales Chamber of Commerce, said:
“We’re actively encouraging our businesses partner organisations to sign up to the Hinkley Supply Chain portal to maximise their chances to become a part of the multi-billion pound project.
“Many businesses are wrongly assuming that they’ve missed the boat to win work at the nuclear power station development but there is still a wealth of opportunities available, all waiting for the right company to come along.
“Our advice is, don’t delay, register your business on the portal now and put South Wales’ stamp on this momentous project.”

Registered businesses will also be invited to attend an Introduction to HPC event on Thursday 10th July at University of South Wales in Pontypridd.
