Hundreds sign up to 2025 ABP Newport Marathon Festival

Hundreds of runners have already signed up to take part in the 2025 ABP Newport Marathon Festival, taking advantage of special launch offer pricing.

Those thinking of running next year need to act quickly if they also want to save, as the offer expires at the end of this month.

Many people may be waiting to hear on whether or not they’ve been successful in the TCS London Marathon ballot first before signing up – but there’s no need to hold back.

Runners who are offered a place in the ballot can cancel and claim a refund on their 2025 ABP Newport Marathon entry. All they’ll need to do is provide proof of their successful ballot entry (linked to the same email address they used to register for the Newport Marathon) and Run 4 Wales will take care of the rest.

Next year’s ABP Newport Marathon Festival is set to take place on Sunday 13 April. Valid until 31 May, the special launch entry offers will allow runners to save 25% versus general entry in the Marathon, and £10 off general entry for the Half Marathon.

Entry to the Junior Races is also open while the 10K race entries will be launched later in the year.

Matt Newman, Chief Executive at event organisers Run 4 Wales, said: “We know how difficult it can be trying to plan out your race calendar for the year ahead, particularly if you’re waiting to hear whether or not you’ve been successful in the TCS London Marathon ballot.

“We don’t think it’s fair that you should lose out on saving with our incredible launch offer while you wait, which is why we’re allowing you to claim a refund on your Newport Marathon space should you get a place in the ballot.

“It’s fantastic to see that hundreds of runners have already taken advantage of the discount and are signed up for next year’s event. We can’t wait to welcome them at our second edition of the new-look ABP Newport Marathon Festival.”
