Leading Welsh insurance provider Jelf has appointed Rhys Perkins to the newly-created position of Development Manager for the South Wales region.

The new role has been established with the objectives of raising awareness of the work that the organisation does and building relationships with prospective and existing clients.

Rhys brings to the position a wealth of experience, having spent the past 13 years in sales and management roles in the retail industry – working for three of the biggest retailers in the UK.

The development of the new position derives from Jelf’s merger with Bluefin, a move that has brought together two leading insurance brokers and client advisory businesses to form a new organisation built on decades of experience.

On being tasked with making a success of the newly created position, Rhys said:

“This is an exciting opportunity that enables me to promote the excellent work that Jelf delivers for clients, as well as giving me the chance to explain how it can benefit others.

“This is a new role in this region and it is an exciting challenge to be appointed to a fresh position at a well-respected company with a proud heritage within the South Wales community.”

Dale Williams, Director of Jelf’s Cardiff branch said:

“This is a great appointment for the team. Rhys brings with him exceptional experience when it comes to developing and maintaining client relationships and we firmly believe that his skillset will prove the perfect match for what we are looking to achieve at Jelf.”

An award-winning company with a strong South Wales presence, Jelf is comprised of specialists in the fields of insurance, risk management and employee benefits and provides expert advice for both businesses and individuals across the country.
