Wales rugby international Cory Hill and double Paralympic champion Aled Sion Davies are among the stars lining up for an evening with sporting legends to raise money for Tenovus Cancer Care.

They will be joined by Commonwealth Games and Winter Olympic athlete Mica Moore, British, Commonwealth and WBA Continental and International champion boxer Joe Cordina and Olympic silver medallist and former world champion Jamie Baulch.

The online event, on Friday 14th August, will be hosted by ex-Wales rugby international and Llanelli Scarlets legend Rupert Moon, who is a patron of Tenovus Cancer Care and has supported the charity for more than 20 years.

Tickets are priced at just £10 and the evening will include a live prize draw with some fantastic prizes donated by the star guests.

Lisa Buckley, head of fundraising for Tenovus Cancer Care, said: “We’re delighted to have secured such a fantastic array of Welsh sports stars, past and present, for the event.

“Our last online event with our patrons Rob Brydon and Wynne Evans was a huge success and the feedback we received from the hundreds of people who attended was excellent.

“We are really looking forward to the night with real Welsh sporting legends and hearing how they got to the top of their sports and some fascinating stories from their careers.

“We’d like to thank all of the guests for taking part and hope as many people as possible will join us for this exciting event.”

All the funds raised from the evening will help Tenovus Cancer Care support cancer patients and their loved ones in communities across the country.

Lisa Buckley added: “The coronavirus crisis is having a devastating impact on the charity’s income, with our shops closing for many months and cancelled fundraising events we’re predicting a £3.5m shortfall.

“We are incredibly grateful for the support we receive because cancer patients need us now more than ever.”

Tickets for this online-only event are £10 per household and can be purchased here https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/a-night-in-with-sporting-legends-hosted-by-rupert-moon-tickets-113620421740
