Former British and Irish Lion Jonathan ‘Fox’ Davies has invested in The Hub, a community focused gym based in Bulwark Business Park in Chepstow.

The Hub was first established 10 years ago and aims to bring people together while making health and fitness feel more accessible to everyone, especially those who may not see a traditional gym as the right fit for them.

Jonathan, who has always been passionate about staying active and promoting wellbeing, was drawn to the project because it reflects those same values. His backing will help develop a space that offers more than just equipment and classes, creating a welcoming starting point for people in the local area to build confidence and get moving.

The Hub offers a broad programme of classes including As Many Reps As Possible (AMRAP) and spin, alongside Proform strength and conditioning sessions tailored for local sports teams. The gym will also host women’s health seminars, parent and baby sessions, and high-performance disciplines such as Metcon and Hyrox.
The main gym floor features a wide variety of equipment, including a dedicated weights area, cardio machines, Olympic weightlifting platforms and Assault bikes, catering to both beginners and experienced athletes alike.
Once the full refurbishment is complete, it will have a Wellness area (reformers, Pilates, yoga, etc), recovery zone (sauna and ice) and a cutting-edge spin studio.
Jonathan is also set to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in August 2026 through his work with EverTrek, and The Hub provides an ideal environment to train for the challenge, while inspiring others to pursue their own ambitious goals.
Speaking about the new venture, Jonathan Davies said:
“I’m really excited to be part of The Hub. It’s more than just a gym – it’s a place that brings people together and helps break down the barriers that can exist around health and fitness. I love the idea of creating a space where people feel welcome, supported and confident to take that first step into a healthier, fitter lifestyle. For me, this project is about community, opportunity and enjoying the journey together.
He added: “For fitness enthusiasts who want to compete in competitions such as Hyrox, which is coming to Cardiff again this year, we can help them achieve their goals. It’s great to be a part of bringing a world-class facility to the local area.”
The Hub’s Director Daisy Horder said:
“We’re incredibly excited to welcome Jonathon “Fox” Davies as an investor at Hub Gyms Chepstow. As a British & Irish Lion, Foxy brings an unrivalled level of elite sporting experience, deep knowledge of athletic training, and a genuine passion for gym culture. His background, insight, and connections will play a huge role in elevating what we offer-not just within the gym, but across our wider community. We’re thrilled to have him on board for the future of Hub Gyms Chepstow.”
