Local optical group Julian Davies opticians has acquired Stewart Greenberg Opticians in Whitchurch and will re-open within a week of closing for refurbishment.

Julian Davies Opticians has built a trusted reputation for outstanding services combined with clinical excellence, with four existing branches in Newport, Usk, St Mellons and Llandaff.

The new Whitchurch branch will continue to offer a first class service to Stewart Greenberg clients, with the existing five Whitchurch staff looking forward to working with their new team when the branch re-opens on Monday September 5th, after a £100k investment in new clinical and diagnostic equipment and practice refurbishment.

Chris Tannorella, Director and Optometrist at Julian Davies Opticians

Julian Davies Opticians Director and Optometrist Chris Tannorella, who joined the business as a partner in 2009, before taking over in 2015, when founder Julian Davies retired; said: “We are very excited to be opening in Whitchurch and look forward to getting to know existing clients as well as welcoming new ones.

“We offer healthcare first and foremost but, being independent, we also identify and offer best value products and services to our client base, without compromising on quality in any way.

“Whitchurch offers a great community, which we look forward to becoming involved in. I’m based in North Cardiff with my wife and two young children and love all that the city has to offer.”

The business has more than tripled in size since former Llanishen High pupil Chris joined.

The group are leading healthcare providers in the communities where they are based and offer enhanced shared care glaucoma services across Newport and Cardiff.

They offer at-home services to suit clients.
