Kitchenware and appliances brand, Cooks Professional, has increased its stock capacity and strengthened its growth trajectory, thanks to a six-figure funding package from HSBC UK.

Based in Powys, Cooks Professional imports kitchen goods from China to sell nationwide across the UK, such as air fryers, espresso machines and cast-iron cookware. The HSBC UK funding package will contribute to the upfront purchase of stock for the business, allowing for a faster flow of goods to its UK customer base.

Vin Bhogal, Director at Cooks Professional, commented: “The funding package from HSBC UK marks a significant milestone in Cooks Professional’s business journey. The package will help to optimise our inventory flow and provide our customers with an even more seamless buying experience. As we enter our fourth year of trading, I’m excited to see where this relationship takes us.”

Dan Price, Director at Cooks Professional, commented: “We have ambitious growth plans for the business, having achieved 80% year-on-year growth to date. The HSBC facility along with our recent move to Genpowers state-of-the-art fulfilment centre in Newport are strategic moves for Cooks Professional to continue this growth trajectory.”

Zena Perry-Hartle, Business Banking Area Director at HSBC UK, said: “The popularity of air fryers and other kitchen appliances have soared in recent years and it’s great to see Cooks Professional able to meet this demand. It’s been a pleasure to support the business’s growth journey; its entrepreneurial spirit and drive to succeed will continue to serve the business well. Its impressive growth trajectory and ongoing commitment to customers is testament to this.”

Entrepreneurs Vin Bhogal and Dan Price obtained the business from an existing home and lifestyle e-commerce employer after recognising the potential of this kitchenware brand as a standalone business. They established Cooks Professional in 2021 as an independent limited company and since then revenue has almost doubled each year.
