Towergate is sponsoring the Senior Club or Team of the Year Award which celebrates outstanding achievement by a Swansea based sports club or team in 2018, a category that was last year won by Swansea Harriers Athletics Club.

The Swansea Sports Awards celebrate the sporting achievements of Swansea’s amateur and professional sportsmen and women. Previous winners include Non Stanford, Dai Green, Chris Coleman and Dan Biggar.

Area Managing Director of Towergate, Gary Stevens, said:

“It is very important to us, as a business, to be supporting the communities that we work in and we’re thrilled to be able to show our commitment to Swansea by sponsoring the Swansea Sports Awards.

“Team work is a huge part of our company ethos so sponsoring the Team of the Year Award was a good fit for us. We’re looking forward to working closely with the Sports Awards team to promote the awards and celebrating the nominees and winners on the night.”

Gareth Govier of Swansea Council’s Sport and Health Team said:

“The Swansea Sports Awards celebrate the contribution of people from across Swansea to the many clubs and organisations across the county. The success of the Awards is testament to the importance placed on sport within the community.

“Without sponsors like Towergate, the Awards wouldn’t be the celebration that they are and we’re very grateful to Towergate and all our sponsors for their support.”

The Swansea Sports Awards nominations are open until 31st December and the winners will be announced at a ceremony at Brangwyn Hall on 13th March.
