Almost 45,000 music fans gathered in Cardiff on Tuesday evening as Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi played the first of two sold out Blackweir Live concerts, while global pop star Katy Perry performed across Bute Park at Cardiff Castle.
Capaldi returns to Blackweir on Wednesday, 1 July, for his second sell out show, with thousands more fans expected to head into the city.
Concertgoers attending Blackweir Live are being urged to plan ahead, with significant road closures and transport changes in place.
Road closures will also be in operation for Pitbull’s concert on Saturday, 4 July.

From 4pm until midnight, key routes including North Road, Castle Street, Duke Street and Kingsway will be closed, alongside additional restrictions around the Civic Centre and surrounding streets.
There will be no park and ride service for the Blackweir Live events. However, event parking will be available at both Sophia Gardens and the Civic Centre, costing £20 for cars and £30 for coaches.
Drivers are being warned that the M4 motorway and Cardiff’s road network are expected to be extremely busy, with those attending advised to allow extra time and arrive early.
Taxi pick up and drop off will operate from the Civic Centre near the National Museum, while taxis will not be permitted to collect or set down passengers on North Road.
Extra capacity will be provided on train services, although passengers should expect busy services after the concerts. Cathays railway station will close from 10pm, with travellers advised to use Cardiff Central or Cardiff Queen Street stations instead and check their last train home before travelling.
Bus services will be diverted during the road closures, and passengers are encouraged to check with their operator before setting out.
Cycle parking will also be available at the Civic Centre for those choosing to travel by bike.
