Lost Lands Cinema, the creative force behind South Wales’ most exciting pop-up and immersive cinema events, is back with a chilling new experience just in time for Halloween. Introducing The Summoning, an immersive horror cinema experience set in the eerie depths of one of Cardiff’s most iconic and mysterious buildings, Portland House in Cardiff Bay.

Once the largest bank vault outside of London, Portland House’s dark and storied history makes it the perfect venue for this unforgettable night of terror. The Summoning will transform this historic vault into a spine-tingling journey where fact blurs with fiction, creating a truly otherworldly experience.

From October 29th to 31st, horror enthusiasts will be invited to explore the haunted vaults before settling in for a frightful film screening. But beware – this is no ordinary cinema. Upon entering the basement of Portland House, guests will find themselves navigating a series of immersive horror pop-ups, where they must discover who—or what—else has been summoned to the vaults.

In addition to the film screenings, The Summoning will feature live DJs spinning atmospheric tracks, themed photo booths to capture the night’s scares, and a variety of food and drink vendors offering creepy culinary delights. Resident actors will roam the vaults, ensuring that the scare factor remains high throughout the night.

    Lost Lands Cinema –

“This is not your average night at the cinema; it’s an otherworldly experience that blurs the lines between fact and fiction,” said a spokesperson from Lost Lands Cinema. “We’re excited to bring this unique and immersive horror experience to Cardiff Bay. It’s an event that’s sure to linger in your nightmares long after Halloween is over.”

The first event of The Summoning will take place from October 29th to 31st, 2024, with family-friendly versions on the 30th and 31st

Tickets will go on sale on Friday, September 6th, and are expected to sell out quickly.

Don’t miss your chance to be part of Cardiff’s most terrifying Halloween event. Come if you dare, and see if you can survive The Summoning at the vaults.
