Drivers are facing delays on the M4 near Cardiff this morning following lane closures on the eastbound carriageway.

According to Traffic Wales, lanes one and two are currently blocked between Junction 33 Capel Llanilltern and Junction 32 Coryton on the M4/A4232 eastbound route.

Congestion is building in the area as traffic passes through the restriction.

Motorists travelling towards Cardiff are being advised to allow extra time for their journeys and approach the area with caution.

There is currently no indication of how long the lanes will remain closed.
