    Man dies following Rhydymwyn collision

    A 33-year-old man has sadly died following a collision near Mold on Tuesday September 10th.

    Shortly after 2pm on Tuesday September 10th police were called to a report of a collision involving a car and a motorbike on the A541at Rhydymwyn near to the junction with B5123.

    The rider of the motorbike who was from Flintshire, was airlifted to Aintree hospital, and sadly died on Thursday September 12th.

    The man’s family are being supported by a specially trained family liaison officer.

    The coroner has been informed.

    Inspector Iwan Roberts of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “Our thoughts remain with the man’s family at this difficult time.

    “I would like to thank those who have already contacted us following the collision.

    “Anyone who witnessed the collision and is yet to speak to us, or anyone travelling in the area prior to collision who may have dashcam footage, should contact us as soon as possible.”

    Anybody with information that could assist with the ongoing investigation is asked to contact North Wales Police via their website or by calling 101, quoting reference number Q137160.
