A 44-year-old man who thought he was speaking to young girls online has been jailed.
Tibor Tompos, of Shotton, appeared at Caernarfon Crown Court for sentencing on 7 July.
He previously admitted to attempting to incite a girl to engage in sexual activity, attempting to cause a child to look at images of sexual activity, attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child and making indecent pseudo-photographs of a child.
In May 2024, Tompos began sexualised communication with who he believed to be a 13-year-old child online.
He was not aware that this was a fake profile set up by a paedophile hunter group, and he was arrested by police.
His devices were seized and examined, which discovered further sexualised communication with two accounts who he believed to be 14-year-old girls.
He sent them several explicit images and videos of himself as well as asking for sexualised photos in return.
They were also decoy accounts.
He was jailed for four years and was made subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order lasting for 15 years.
Online Child Abuse Investigation Team (OCAIT) Police Constable Becky Bannister said: “Tompos showed that he is a danger to girls by attempting sexualised communication with three young girls.
“It is lucky on this occasion that they were all decoy profiles and that no child became victim to his predatory behaviour.
“We will relentlessly pursue those who engage in online child sexual abuse to protect children in North Wales.”
