A suspected car thief has been arrested and charged following an investigation into a series of offences in Cardiff.
South Wales Police confirmed that Hydam Huq, 34, from Butetown, was arrested in the early hours of Saturday in Rumney.
He later appeared at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on Monday, April 20, facing multiple car crime charges linked to incidents in the Penylan area.
The charges include theft of a motor vehicle, two counts of theft from a motor vehicle, and three counts of vehicle interference.
Huq was remanded in custody and is due to be sentenced at Cardiff Crown Court on May 20.
South Wales Police said the arrest forms part of ongoing efforts to tackle vehicle crime and keep communities safe across the city.
