Mango, one of the world’s leading fashion groups, strengthens its presence in Wales with the opening of its first store in Cardiff today, creating 12 new jobs.

Situated in Cardiff’s biggest shopping centre, St David’s Dewi Sant, the new store offers Mango’s latest womenswear collection, including clothing, footwear and accessories all designed at Mango’s Barcelona atelier. Combining timeless and versatile staples with more stylish contemporary pieces influenced by the brand’s Mediterranean heritage, Mango’s womenswear collection offers quality fashion at reasonable prices.

The new 5,300 sq ft store also reflects Mango’s New Med concept – an interior design inspired by the brand’s Mediterranean heritage and culture, with natural textures, warm tones and sustainable materials that create a bright and welcoming shopping space.

The St David’s Dewi Sant Shopping Centre location is the brand’s first store in Cardiff and second in Wales, as Mango looks to strengthen its Welsh presence. Currently, Mango has one store in Broughton Shopping Park in Bretton, Wales which opened in May this year.

This latest opening forms part of Mango’s 2024–2026 4Es Strategic Plan, which aims to drive sales and store expansion, while elevating the Mango brand to appeal to a wider pool of customers with its unique Barcelona-based design and brand collaborations. The plan includes an ambitious roadmap to expand Mango’s store presence, including the goal to open 500 new stores globally by 2026, 20 of those set to launch in the UK in 2025, a priority growth market for Mango.

The expansion plan builds on Mango’s strong performance. In July Mango reported global turnover of €1.73 billion in the first half of 2025, up 12% year on year (14% at constant exchange rates). This growth was driven by the popularity of its collections and new store openings.

Fiona Cullen, International Regional Director for the UK & Ireland, commented: “Our new Mango Woman store in Cardiff is a confident step forward for Mango, building on the strong progress we have made over the last year to broaden the appeal of Mango across the UK. Cardiff is the perfect new home to introduce our womenswear collection to more Welsh customers, in a store format that truly represents the Mediterranean soul of our brand.”
