    New appointments strengthen team at UpriseVSI

    Cardiff-based web development and online booking specialist, UpriseVSI has strengthened its team with the appointment of five new members to its web development, project management and technical support teams.

    Myfanwy Maguire joins as Project Manager, having previously led multi-functional teams at Target Group, where she was involved in on the delivery of multi-million-pound software projects for the finance sector.  She will be responsible for the successful delivery of development projects for both UpriseVSI and its award-winning online booking and scheduling software, thinkBooker.

    Darius Garnham joins the company as Senior Developer.  A multiple-masters graduate in Computer Science and Software Technology from Swansea University, Mr. Garnham has over a decade of commercial experience and will be responsible for developing a range of web applications, undertaking software integration projects and developing the thinkBooker solution.

    A skilled front-end developer and UX designer, Tom Nichols joins UpriseVSI as a Front-End Developer.  Originally from Manchester, Mr. Nichols graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a degree in Multimedia Technology and has held a variety of web development roles. He will work within the development team to implement creative and innovative front-end designs and interactions.

    Nick Brayley joins the team in the role of Senior Developer.  With over two decades’ experience in enterprise software development across corporate and government sectors in a wide range of technical roles, he will be responsible for delivering websites and web application projects for UpriseVSI’s clients.

    Recently graduated from the University of Wales with a first-class honours BSc in Information Communication Technology, Daniel Price joins UpriseVSI in the role of Technical Support Executive.  His role will involve assisting  UpriseVSI’ s clients with queries or technical issues relating to their web and booking solutions as well as testing client websites prior to launch.

    Commenting on the new hires, Gareth Rees Jones, Managing Director of UpriseVSI, said:

    “It’s great to welcome so many new faces to the team.  Each of them brings with them a different range of skills and experience that will help us to further enhance our web solutions and software products and to further improve the service that we provide to our customers as we look to continue our growth.”
