FABRICATOR Dudley’s Aluminium is supporting the construction of two new education facilities in the Vale of Glamorgan for Cardiff and Vale College: the Barry Waterfront Campus (BWC) and the Advanced Technology Centre (ATC).
Dudley’s will be partnering with Bouygues UK on both campuses and will install Metal Technology curtain walling, windows and HI doors on the builds. Both buildings will meet Net Zero Carbon requirements, ensuring the campuses meet Welsh Government standards for decarbonisation and promote sustainability.

Located in the heart of Barry’s Waterfront Innovation Quarter, the BWC will accommodate up to 900 students and provide real life work experience opportunities for students which will serve the local community. Vocational courses at the state-of-the-art further education facility will include art and design, care, catering, hospitality, hairdressing and beauty therapy.
The ATC, based at Cardiff Airport, will cater to around 2,000 learners and focuses on key growth areas such as artificial intelligence, advanced design, composites, electronics and net zero carbon technologies. It will include flexible classrooms, advanced manufacturing and lab facilities, a higher education business centre and a ‘green skills house’ to support training in renewable technologies.
Steve Muir, Commercial Director at Dudley’s Aluminium, said: “We are thrilled to be working with Bouygues on Cardiff and Vale College’s new campuses in the Vale of Glamorgan. Our proven track record in the education sector will ensure the project is delivered to high standards, providing quality teaching and learning environments that meet the needs of students, employers and the wider community.”
