New Base for Enterprise Support Specialists Puts Renewed Focus on Caerphilly

Business in Focus, the specialist business support organisation for enterprise in Wales, is expanding its operations further by setting up an office at the Tredomen Business & Technology Centre in Caerphilly.

The centre brings the tally of Business in Focus offices and hubs up to sixteen, with Caerphilly proving to be fruitful ground for start-ups looking for support in the early stages of their business.  The new office in Tredomen follows the opening of the Whitbread Centre in Rhymney last year, thus strengthening our presence in the Caerphilly Borough.

A Start Up Loan Adviser at Business in Focus, Craig Tamplin, is now based at the state-of-the-art office in the Tredomen Centre, alongside a team of Business Advisors who are on hand to provide guidance on key business matters for start-ups.

Craig says: “I am delighted to see Business in Focus set up a base in Caerphilly. This expansion is an indication of the healthy local economy, which is seeing entrepreneurs bring their ideas to fruition in the borough and across the wider valleys area.

“There is no shortage of good ideas, creativity and sound business sense in this part of Wales and it is very satisfying to be able to play a part in so many success stories, day in, day out. I am here to support start-ups during their earliest stages, with their all-important Start Up Loans. Of course, getting proper finance in place is one of the cornerstones of small business success.”

The Start Up Loan service covers loans from £500 to £25,000 with a fixed interest rate of 6 %, a repayment period from one to five years, free mentoring for the first year of the loan and access to exclusive business offers.

Craig adds: “One of the things I hear frequently from start-ups is that they appreciate the fact that there is help to guide them through the process, because getting funding is also about being informed about the kind of expenses you are likely to face in those early months, and on into the future, making sure you budget well and that you carry out sound forecasting.

“It is also import to have ongoing support to get a small business past its seedling stage and into full bloom. That is where our in-house Business Advisors come in, offering a year of ongoing help for small businesses who come to Business in Focus for a Start Up Loan.”

While operating out of the new office in the Tredomen Centre, Craig is also happy to travel out to the surrounding area to meet up with entrepreneurs and start-ups at their premises or in the locality.

As well as being a key conduit to finance, Business in Focus offers modern and inviting business accommodation on flexible terms, and it is a landlord to around 300 SMEs throughout South Wales.

Business in Focus is on hand with tailored advice for small businesses on all aspects of start-up funding. Contact their advisors here to find out more: www.businessinfocus.co.uk/en/funding
