Dive into a high-octane, story-led, contemporary big top experience with world-class acrobatic performances.
The Revel Puck Circus, East London’s homegrown circus company known for bold, theatrical, non-traditional work, brings its brand new production A Glimmer Daze Gambit to Cardiff this summer at Sophia Gardens, Pontcanna.
Running from Thursday 4 June to Sunday 14 June 2026, this two week Cardiff run is part of the company’s first ever large-scale touring season, a 200-day journey taking their Chapiteau tent across the UK and bringing world-class contemporary circus into the heart of local communities.
The Cardiff dates are presented in partnership with NoFit State Circus. Revel Puck founder Luke Hallgarten previously performed with NoFit State (2017–2020), touring internationally as part of the original cast and creation of LEXICON, and NoFit State Executive and Artistic Directors Alison and Tom have mentored Luke as he built Revel Puck Circus into the bold, community-rooted company it is today.
A Glimmer Daze Gambit is a show about hope, arrival and community. Follow Stella and Kit as they finally reach their dream home, a Circus. Desperate to join the troupe, and having never seen a circus before, they have packed everything they think they might need. What follows is a joyous, mischievous ride where mistakes become magic, and belonging is built together.
This high-spectacle family show brings together a collective of grassroots London-based and international circus artists from Argentina, the USA, Ethiopia, and Canada.
Expect teeterboard, aerial cradle, straps, bounce juggling, cloud swing, group acrobatics and so much more. With playful fourth wall moments and light audience participation, the show invites everyone to feel part of the troupe.
The show is largely non-verbal and conveyed through mime, clowning, and acrobatics, making it a brilliant gateway cultural experience for audiences of all ages and particularly welcoming for families with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Audiences are welcomed into the world of the Revel Pucks and leave with a new spring in their step, a glint in their eye and a prickle of mischief on their skin.
