Animal Trust officially opens its first practice in Wales on Caia Road, Wrexham, on the 5th of August and welcomes all patients in and around the area to register.

Set up by vets with the main focus on the welfare of animals, the not-for-profit organisation reinvests all profits back into the business for the benefit of their patients. The new surgery opens in place of the Vets4Pets practice which closed earlier this year.

“I set up Animal Trust as I was concerned that many veterinary practices were unnecessarily expensive and owners were struggling to access the expert care that their pets needed,” said Owen Monie, founder.

“At Animal Trust, we don’t ever charge consultation fees to remove the price barrier many owners face when their pet is unwell. It doesn’t matter what is the owner’s income or location, we are open to everyone.

“As a previous owner of the building on Caia Road, having the opportunity to bring our standard led and accessible care to the pets of Wrexham makes me extremely proud, and to be practising from my original surgery (Wrexham Veterinary Care) is fantastic.”

Animal Trust Wrexham is based in the heart of town, close to Eagles Meadow Shopping Centre, with a large free car park available to all patients. The surgery will provide veterinary facilities including general practice care, dentistry, surgery, x-ray, orthopaedics, and is equipped with two surgical theatres, four consultation rooms, and an onsite laboratory.

The new opening celebrates Animal Trust’s ninth surgery, with the eighth opening in July on The Wirral, making Wrexham the third site to open in 2019.

In advance of the surgery opening, pet owners in Northeast Wales and the surrounding area are invited to register their pet online at www.animaltrust.org.uk/register where you can select an appointment date prior to the launch.

Animal Trust Wrexham will be open from the 5th August: Monday – Friday 8.30am – 6.30pm, and Saturday 08:30am – 01:30pm.
