Two new senior business development staff have been appointed to Chepstow and Ffos Las Racecourses.

Kevin Hire is the new Business Relationship Manager for both Chepstow and Ffos Las.

[aoa id=”1″]Kevin, from Ammanford, brings a wealth of experience of looking after key clients in the South Wales area having worked for over 30 years in regional media including managing teams in both the print and radio industries. Kevin said: “I’m thoroughly enjoying my new challenge promoting two quality racecourses across South Wales.”[/aoa]

Kevin has an extensive sporting background having played rugby locally for Llanelli and Burry Port RFC in his youth and after injury and studying in Gwent College of Higher Education returned to play for St Clears RFC in his late twenties until retiring, he is now a great supporter of the Llanelli Scarlets Rugby team. Kevin was also Pembrokeshire Snooker Doubles Champion, league title and cup winner and also played Squash in the Pembrokeshire league which he still plays now in his spare time.

Jo Thomas is the new Business Development Manager for Chepstow Racecourse. She has a background in media advertising, promotions and sales. Jo has worked for the Nation Radio, Western Mail, South Wales Echo, Wales Online and the WM Magazine. Jo grew up in Llanhennock on a dairy and arable farm and was fortunate enough to have ponies which is where her love of horses came from.

Phil Bell Executive Director of both tracks said: “I am delighted that Kevin and Jo have joined our courses. Their extensive experience and contacts across South Wales will be make a huge difference in terms of attracting new clients to our businesses”.
