The UK’s leading IoT service and solutions provider, North, has announced the appointment of Coreen Bone to the position of Chief People Officer (CPO). Complementing the company’s bold growth strategy, the hire will see Bone join North’s executive leadership team, reporting directly to CEO Glen Williams. The hire follows the recent investment from Livingbridge and the acquisition of Data Techniques.

Bone brings more than 20 years’ experience working across a variety of sectors, including in executive roles at Xerox Business Services, where Coreen delivered strategic and operational people solutions at a global level to support large-scale growth and the successful integration of acquired businesses, and more recently she was CPO at Allvotec, where she supported and guided employees throughout the pandemic.

North provides intelligent integrated technology services to public and private sector clients across the UK. The business is backed by Livingbridge, an independent private equity firm with offices across the UK, US and Australia. Livingbridge has a strong track record within the technology sector and recently made the investment through its £1.2 billion Livingbridge 7 fund.

As part of her new position, Coreen will play an integral part of the senior leadership team to implement North’s vision and support the company’s ambitious growth plans which are focused on driving regional expansion and strengthening service lines such as IoT and 5G within critical and complex environments. Bone will help to shape and drive North’s people strategy, operations, culture, learning and development and talent acquisition.

Commenting on her appointment, Coreen said: “North has already seen incredible growth over the last year. The team rightly takes pride in the business’s strong reputation, with exceptionally experienced talent across its service lines.

“Following the latest acquisition, it’s the ideal time to be joining the business. I am looking forward to working across the organisation and to contributing to the transformation of North into an unrivalled end-to-end service and solutions provider with world class talent and a culture which supports their employees and enables them to reach their potential.”

Glen Williams, CEO at North, said: “Having previously worked across similar roles within the technology sector, Coreen has exceptional knowledge of how-to best devise and implement strategies that prioritise people. She also has a deep understanding of business integration and how processes are best streamlined and managed.

“Coreen will play a key role in building a strong company culture based on our core values of creativity, collaboration, community, humility, and service. Her appointment further bolsters our senior leadership team and highlights our commitment to support our employees as we undergo our transformation to become the UK’s leading provider of integrated technology solutions.”
