A North Wales commercial cleaning and facilities management company has secured a series of international certifications.

Godfrey Group has achieved ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 covering Quality Management, Environmental Management and Occupational Health and Safety Management respectively.

Attaining the three ISOs coincides with the company moving to a new head office at the Pool Park Estate in Ruthin.

Godfrey Group has expanded rapidly during the last two years and now provides housekeeping services to holiday parks, holiday homes, resorts and hotels across the UK.

The company’s growth has also been boosted by its commercial cleaning and building and maintenance division with key sectors including schools, universities, housing associations, factories and warehouses.

The eight-strong team at head office are supported by over 300 cleaning and facilities management staff across the UK.

The family run business includes Managing Director Andrew Godfrey, his wife and fellow director Louisa and daughter and regional operations manager Laura Godfrey.

Louisa, a former headteacher in North Wales, said: “We have been working on the ISOs for the last six months and we have been told that it is highly unusual to complete all three at the same time.

“Having all three ISOs is like a golden thread because collectively they cover the key areas of quality, environmental and safety management.

“The environmental ISO is going to be ever more important with its emphasis on sustainability, product life cycles and harnessing renewable energy.

“I am so proud of everyone in the Godfrey Group team who have played their part in enabling us to secure the ISOs, standards which are recognised internationally.

“They will support our continued growth plans, both in existing sectors and newer ones such as education where we are seeing a lot of interest from schools, universities and colleges.

“We already prided ourselves on having robust systems in place across the business, but going through the rigorous ISO process has taken our systems to another level.”

Godfrey Group clients include Luxury Lodges, Wayfind Escapes, Meadow Bay Villages, Charteroak Holiday Lodges, Adra, Neatcrown and Niagara Healthcare. The company is also a strategic partner of holiday resorts specialist Hoseasons.

Godfrey Group has been supported in attaining its ISO certifications by Business Wales and is part of its Accelerated Growth Programme aimed at businesses with high growth potential.
