Pete Tong brought the unmistakable sound of Ibiza to North Wales on Thursday night as his acclaimed Ibiza Classics show transformed TK Maxx presents Live At Llangollen Pavilion into a huge open air dance party.

Backed by the Essential Orchestra, the legendary DJ and dance music pioneer delivered a 90 minute set packed with some of the biggest club anthems of the past three decades, keeping the capacity crowd on their feet from start to finish.

The show burst into life with an energetic performance of Right Here Right Now, setting the tone for a night celebrating dance music classics. Fans were then treated to hit after hit, including Lola’s Theme, Children, Where Love Lives, Toca’s Miracle, Rhythm of the Night, Zombie Nation, Insomnia and Freed From Desire.

The atmosphere reached another level as the main set closed with crowd favourites Sandstorm and Cafe Del Mar, before Pete Tong and the orchestra returned for an encore featuring Don’t You Worry Child and You Got The Love.

Earlier in the evening, award winning DJ Paulette warmed up the audience with a high energy set of dance anthems, ensuring the party atmosphere was well underway before the main event.

Pete Tong’s performance continues another successful year for TK Maxx presents Live At Llangollen Pavilion, with the summer concert series continuing on Friday night when singer songwriter David Gray takes to the stage.
