Six potential operators have submitted proposals to breathe new life into the Grade I listed Llancaiach Fawr Manor House, located near Nelson.
Caerphilly County Borough Council appointed agents Avison Young to help create an exciting new future for the site after the venue closed its doors to the public at the end of last year.
Following a series of open days held at the Manor, six parties submitted business cases followed by interviews to determine who will take over the running of this historic site.
The full and final bids have now been received and the council will evaluate the detailed business cases over the next few weeks.
Leader of Council, Cllr Sean Morgan said, “It is encouraging to see that we received six strong bids to run the site going forward. We received such a high level of interest from a range of organisations that we ran more open days than originally envisaged. The site offers so much potential for the new operator.
“This is transformation in action, we look forward to updating the public in due course”, he added.
