Residents are being invited to share their views on the future of walking, wheeling and cycling across Bridgend County Borough.

A series of public engagement sessions will give people the opportunity to view the current Active Travel Network Map and highlight where improvements are needed.

Active travel includes walking, wheeling and cycling for everyday journeys, such as travelling to work, school, shops, leisure facilities or public transport links.

The aim is to create a network that makes these journeys easier, safer and more accessible for everyone, while improving health and wellbeing and strengthening connections between towns and villages.

The engagement sessions will take place at:

    • Bridgend Life Centre on 25 August 2026, from 4.30pm to 7.30pm
    • Porthcawl YMCA on 26 August 2026, from 4.30pm to 7.30pm
    • Maesteg Sports Centre on 2 September 2026, from 4.30pm to 7.30pm

Anyone who plans to attend and would like the session to be delivered in Welsh should provide plenty of notice by emailing [email protected] so that translation can be arranged.

Residents who are unable to attend can still share their views by completing the online survey.
