Motorists are being warned to expect delays on several major routes across South Wales as congestion builds during the Tuesday evening rush hour.

According to Traffic Wales, queues are affecting three busy commuter routes, with delays possible for anyone travelling towards Cardiff and Newport this evening.

    The latest traffic hotspots include:

    • A470 northbound between Coryton and Nantgarw
    • A4232 northbound between Culverhouse Cross and M4 Junction 33 at Capel Llanilltern
    • M4 westbound between Junction 24 at Coldra and Junction 26 at Malpas

Traffic Wales is advising drivers to allow extra time for their journeys as traffic volumes increase during the evening peak. Motorists are also encouraged to check the latest traffic information before setting off, particularly if travelling on routes around Cardiff and Newport.
