Nominations are now open for the Swansea Sports Awards 2025.
Aimed at celebrating sporting contributions in Swansea, the awards – made up of 15 categories – recognise individuals, teams and clubs.
This year’s awards are being organised by Swansea Council in association with Freedom Leisure.
Taking place at Swansea’s Brangwyn Hall on April 2 next year, the awards celebrate both elite and grass roots sport.
Categories include inspiring young person, volunteer, community coach and performance coach.
Others include junior sportsman, junior sportswoman, school team, junior club or team, and senior club or team.
Awards will also be presented for getting Swansea active, sportsperson of the year with a disability, and sportsperson of the year.
Cllr Rob Stewart, Leader of Swansea Council, said: “The Swansea Sports Awards are a celebration of the incredible dedication and talent across our city’s sporting community.
“From grassroots volunteers to elite athletes, these awards shine a spotlight on the people who inspire us, promote healthy lifestyles, and make Swansea proud.
“Being able to recognise the brilliant activities in the city which promote a healthy lifestyle is so important, and I look forward to the event.”
